Programme Overview

About this programme

The Diploma in Business Information Technology is a two-year programme combining information technology with core business disciplines. Students develop competencies in computer networking, information systems, web technologies, accounting, business management, economics, database applications, project management, corporate finance, taxation, e-business and computerized accounting.

The programme prepares students to understand organizational requirements and apply appropriate technology to improve business operations, information processing and decision-making. At NTA Level 6, students integrate their knowledge through advanced business technology modules and a Final Year Project.

Admissions

Entry Requirements

  1. A Basic Technician Certificate, NTA Level 4, in Business Administration, Accountancy, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Technology or another relevant field from a recognized institution; OR
  2. Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one Principal Pass and one Subsidiary Pass.

Students must successfully complete NTA Level 5 before progressing to NTA Level 6.

Hostel accommodation is available at TZS 340,000 per year.

Eligible new students joining NTA Level 5 in the September 2026 intake receive a promotional discount equivalent to 50% of first-semester tuition and 50% of the applicable direct fee.
