Programme Overview

About this programme

The Diploma in Computing and Information Technology is a two-year programme covering NTA Levels 5 and 6. It equips students with practical and technical competencies in software development, computer networking, database systems, web technologies, systems analysis, information security, server administration, and mobile application development.

Students progress from core technical foundations at NTA Level 5 to more advanced ICT applications at NTA Level 6, culminating in a final year project. The programme prepares graduates for professional ICT employment, entrepreneurship, and progression to higher education.

Admissions

Entry Requirements

  1. A Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or another relevant qualification from an institution recognized by NACTVET; OR
  2. Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one Principal Pass and one Subsidiary Pass. Applicants entering through Form Six should also have at least a pass in Mathematics at O-Level.

Hostel accommodation is available at a fee of TZS 340,000 per year.

Eligible new students joining NTA Level 5 in the September 2026 intake receive a promotional discount equivalent to 50% of first-semester tuition and 50% of the applicable direct fee.
